![]() When he's not shooting music or fashion, Phil Mucci leads an elite vigilante task force who patrol the dark alleys of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, administering their own unique brand of kung-fu street justice. Phil Mucci specializes in photographing high profile figures in music, celebrity, and fashion. He is recognized today as an artist whose skills and talents continue to hone the cutting edge of digital photography, most notably through his work for such underground magazines as URB, Alternative Press, and Complex. Phil's impressive list of prominent subjects have included Christina Aguilera, Jay-Z, The Roots, Tori Amos, Trent Reznor, Shirley Manson, Rancid, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Rapture, Good Charlotte, The Walkmen, and Dashboard Confessional. He has worked with major record labels, including Warner Brothers and Def Jam, creating album covers for Ludacris and The Bare Naked Ladies. Pro-athletes captured in Phil's lens have included Shaq, Kobe Bryant, Randy Moss, Mike Piazza, David Justice, and Kordell Stewart. His ESPN Magazine cover won him the prestigious American Photography award in 2001. He was also a winner for digital photography in the New York PDN/PIX Digital Contest (2002) for his work on the «International Noise Conspiracy » — a fashion shoot for Alternative Press. In 1996, Phil was cited as an emerging talent at the Today's Assistant's, Tomorrow's Pros exhibit, sponsored by Polaroid and Photo District News (PDN). Phil Mucci graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 1991. Most recent advertising campaigns include Ecko Unltd., Rocawear, and Skechers.
